How to Measure Yourself for a Suit?

Wear a thin shirt and remove bulky items from your pockets

Stand straight with your arms relaxed at your sides

Measure your chest around the fullest part, keeping the tape level

Measure your waist at the natural waistline, usually just above the navel

Measure your hips around the fullest part of your seat

Measure your shoulders from one shoulder point to the other across the back

Measure your sleeve length from the shoulder point to the wrist bone

Measure your neck around the base where a collar sits

Measure your inseam from the crotch to the bottom of the ankle

Measure your jacket length from the base of the neck to where you want the jacket to end

Measure your outseam from the waist to the bottom of the ankle

Keep the tape snug but not tight

Record all measurements in inches or centimeters consistently

Recheck each measurement at least once

Compare your measurements to the suit brand’s size chart
