Remove the vinyl record from its sleeve by holding the edges and label area only
Place the record on the turntable platter
Turn on the turntable
Select the correct speed, usually 33 1/3 RPM or 45 RPM
Lift the tonearm using the cueing lever
Move the tonearm over the outer edge of the record
Lower the tonearm gently onto the record
Let the record play
Raise the tonearm when the record ends
Return the tonearm to its rest
Turn off the turntable
Return the record to its sleeve after playing
