Turn on the Xbox 360
Press the Guide button on the controller
Go to Settings
Select System Settings
Select Console Settings
Select System Info
Press Y to open the Reset Console option if available
If resetting through settings is not available, go to Settings
Select System
Select Storage
Highlight the hard drive or storage device
Press Y
Select Format
Confirm the format
To perform a full factory reset, remove all storage devices and format the internal storage
To reset display settings, turn off the console
Hold the Y button and the right trigger while turning the console back on
To clear the cache, go to Settings
Select System
Select Storage
Highlight a storage device
Press Y
Select Clear System Cache
Confirm the action
