Open Google Maps
Search for the place or area you want to save
Tap or click the place name or map area
Select Save
Choose a list such as Favorites, Want to go, or Starred places
To save a custom map area offline, open your profile picture or menu
Select Offline maps
Tap Select your own map
Adjust the map area
Tap Download
To access saved places, open Saved in Google Maps
To view offline maps, open Offline maps in Google Maps
