Open the Messages app
Open an existing conversation or start a new one
Tap and hold the microphone icon next to the text field
Speak your message
Release the microphone to send it
To cancel, swipe left while holding the microphone
If you do not see the microphone, tap the App Store or apps icon next to the text field
Make sure iMessage or MMS is enabled in Settings
Check that the microphone is allowed for Messages in Settings
If needed, use Siri or Voice Memos to record and share audio separately
