Weigh the tank and subtract the tare weight stamped on the collar
Use warm water on the tank side and feel for the cooler propane level line
Read the percentage indicator on the tank, if present

Ask your propane supplier to inspect or refill the tank
Monitor appliance performance for signs of low propane
Use a remote tank monitor, if available
