Start the vehicle
Locate the headlight control stalk or switch
Turn on the low beams or headlights
Push the stalk forward or pull it toward you, depending on the vehicle
Check the blue high-beam indicator on the dashboard
Return the stalk or switch to the normal position to turn them off
