Plug in the FoodSaver vacuum sealer and place it on a flat, dry surface
Open the lid and check that the drip tray and sealing strip are clean and properly installed
Cut a FoodSaver bag to the desired length if needed
Place the food inside the bag, leaving enough space at the top for sealing
Keep the bag opening clean and dry
Insert the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel
Close the lid securely
Press the vacuum and seal button or select the appropriate mode
Wait for the machine to remove the air and seal the bag
Check that the seal is complete and even
Open the lid and remove the sealed bag
Store the sealed food in the pantry, refrigerator, or freezer as needed
Use the seal-only function for pre-cut bags or when sealing without vacuuming
Use the pulse or manual vacuum function for delicate foods if available
Leave space between liquids and the seal area to prevent spills
Freeze moist or liquid foods before vacuum sealing if necessary
Clean the vacuum sealer after use
Unplug the machine when finished
