Turn off the computer and unplug it
Let the screen cool if it has been on for a while
Use a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust
Wipe gently in one direction
Dampen a microfiber cloth with distilled water if needed
Apply the moisture to the cloth, not directly to the screen
Use a screen-safe cleaner only if necessary
Avoid paper towels, tissues, and rough fabrics
Avoid ammonia, alcohol, and abrasive cleaners
Do not spray liquid directly on the screen
Clean the edges and corners carefully
Dry the screen with a clean microfiber cloth
Reconnect and turn the computer back on after it is fully dry
