Start with a square sheet of origami paper
Fold it diagonally in half both ways
Fold it in half horizontally and vertically
Collapse the paper into a smaller square base
Fold the top layer’s side edges to the center line
Repeat on the other side
Open the top flaps and flatten them into petal shapes
Turn the model over and repeat the same folds on the back
Fold the lower edges inward to shape the flower base
Gently open the petals
Curl the petal tips outward if desired
