Remove the outer lid or cap
Peel off any inner seal or protective film
If the container is a jar, twist the lid counterclockwise to open
If the lid is stuck, run warm water over the lid for a few seconds
Use a spoon or butter knife to gently lift the seal if needed
Scoop the ice cream once the container is open
