Take turns hitting your ball with the mallet
Strike only your own ball on your turn
Aim to pass your ball through the next wicket in sequence
Score a point each time your ball passes through a wicket in the correct order
Continue following the course through all wickets
Hit the turning stake when required by the rules
Use croquet shots when your ball hits another ball, if allowed by the rules being played
Place your ball next to the struck ball before taking the croquet shot
Take the extra shot after a successful wicket or stake hit, if granted by the rules
Keep track of your progress through the course
Win by completing the required course and scoring the final stake hit, according to the rules being used
