Insert fresh batteries into the Fire TV remote
Turn on the Fire TV device and TV
Hold the Home button on the remote for about 10 seconds
Wait for the on-screen pairing confirmation
If it does not pair, unplug the Fire TV device for 60 seconds
Plug the Fire TV device back in and wait for it to restart
Hold the Home button again for 10 seconds
If needed, go to Settings
Select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices
Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes
Select Add New Remote
Hold the Home button on the remote until it appears in the list
Select the remote to complete pairing
If the remote still does not work, replace the batteries
If the remote is unresponsive, reset the remote by removing the batteries
Reinsert the batteries and try pairing again
If using a replacement remote, ensure it is compatible with your Fire TV model
