Turn off the device immediately
Unplug any charging cable
Hold the device with the charging port facing down
Gently tap the device against your hand to help release water
Shake the device lightly to remove excess water
Wipe the outside with a soft, lint-free cloth
Let the port air dry in a dry, well-ventilated place
Leave the device unused for several hours
Do not use heat, compressed air, or a hair dryer
Do not insert cotton swabs, paper, or sharp objects into the port
Do not charge the device until the port is completely dry
If available, use a fan to speed up drying
If the device shows a moisture warning, wait until it clears before charging
