Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Location
Turn off Location Services for Instagram
On iPhone, go to Settings
Tap Privacy & Security
Tap Location Services
Tap Instagram
Select Never or Ask Next Time
On Android, go to Settings
Tap Apps
Tap Instagram
Tap Permissions
Tap Location
Select Deny
Turn off precise location if available
Remove location from existing posts if needed
Edit post
Delete the location tag
Turn off location sharing in your phone settings if you do not want Instagram to access it
