2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 to 2 cups water (add gradually)
Food coloring (optional)
Mix flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a bowl
Add vegetable oil
Add water gradually while stirring until a dough forms
If using food coloring, mix it into the water before adding
Knead the dough until smooth and uniform
If dough is too sticky, add a little flour
If dough is too dry, add a little water
Store in an airtight container or sealed bag
