Blow your nose gently
Drink plenty of fluids
Rest as much as possible
Use a saline nasal spray
Try a humidifier or steam inhalation
Take a warm shower
Avoid smoke, dust, and strong odors
Use an over-the-counter decongestant if appropriate
Use an antihistamine if allergies are the cause
Apply a warm compress over the nose and sinuses
Keep your head elevated when resting
Wash your hands often
See a doctor if symptoms are severe, last more than 10 days, or come with fever, shortness of breath, or facial pain
