Move the frozen breast milk to the refrigerator and let it thaw overnight
Place the sealed container or bag in a bowl of warm water
Hold the container or bag under lukewarm running water
Use thawed breast milk within 24 hours if kept in the refrigerator
Use thawed breast milk within 2 hours if warmed to room temperature
Do not refreeze thawed breast milk
Do not microwave breast milk
Gently swirl the milk to mix any separated fat before feeding
