Hold the left stick toward the basket
While driving, tap the shoot button and move the left stick diagonally away from the defender
Use the right stick to trigger a layup package if needed
Time the move before reaching the paint
Release the shot at the end of the step through the animation
Practice with a player who has strong layup ratings
Make sure you are not sprinting too late into traffic
Use the move after a quick first step or drive
Avoid holding turbo too long before the gather
Repeat in practice mode until the timing feels consistent
