Start a timer as soon as the water reaches a boil
Prepare an ice bath: transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water immediately after boiling
Cool 5–15 minutes, depending on preference
Peel under cool running water for easier peeling
For best results, use within a few days and refrigerate promptly
