Check for fabric caught in the zipper teeth and gently free it
Rub a graphite pencil, soap, or zipper lubricant on the teeth
Align both sides of the zipper before pulling
Gently wiggle the slider while pulling it up or down
Use pliers to lightly squeeze the zipper slider if it is loose
Replace the zipper pull tab if it is broken
Reinsert the slider if it has come off one side
Straighten bent zipper teeth with small pliers
Replace the zipper slider if it no longer closes the teeth
Replace the entire zipper if the teeth are missing or badly damaged
