Back up important data
Connect the device to reliable power

Format a USB drive to FAT32 if required

Enter the BIOS or UEFI setup
Open the BIOS update or flash utility
Select the BIOS file
Start the flashing process
Do not turn off the device during the update
Wait until the process completes
Let the system restart automatically if prompted
Enter BIOS again after reboot
Load default settings if required
Save and exit
Verify the new BIOS version in system information
