Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Contact info
Add phone number
Enter your phone number
Verify the number with the code sent by SMS
Save the changes
If you do not have a phone number, get a mobile SIM card from a carrier
You can also use a business phone number if it can receive SMS
Use a virtual number only if Instagram accepts it for verification
