Use a dry sponge or nylon stocking to buff away white marks
Apply a small amount of liquid detergent directly to the stain
Gently rub the fabric against itself or with a soft brush
Let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Rinse with cold water
For stubborn stains, soak in warm water with laundry detergent
Use white vinegar on the stain, then rinse
Make a paste of baking soda and water, apply it, then rinse
Wash the garment according to the care label
Air-dry the item and check the stain before using heat
Repeat the treatment if needed before drying again
