How To Help Baby With Hiccups?

Hold baby upright for 10 to 15 minutes

Burp baby gently during and after feeds

Feed smaller amounts more slowly

Check that baby has a good latch during breastfeeding

Use a slower-flow nipple if bottle-feeding

Pause feeding if baby seems to be gulping air

Offer a pacifier if baby wants to suck

Gently rub or pat baby’s back

Keep baby calm and avoid overstimulation

Wait for hiccups to stop on their own

Contact a pediatrician if hiccups are frequent, severe, or happen with vomiting, poor feeding, or breathing trouble
