Set your account to private
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Open Settings and privacy
Tap Account privacy
Turn on Private account
Remove followers you do not want to see your following list
Block specific users if needed
Limit who can see your activity through privacy settings
Note that Instagram does not offer a direct setting to hide your following list from all followers on a private account
Use a separate account if you want more separation between personal and public activity
