How To Descale Coffee Maker?

Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool

Empty the water reservoir

Fill the reservoir with descaling solution (or a 1:1 mix of white vinegar and water) up to the max line

Place a container under the brew spout to catch liquid

Turn on the machine and start a brew cycle

Pause if the machine allows and let the solution sit for 15–30 minutes

Resume the brew cycle and run until the reservoir is empty

Turn off the machine and let it sit 10 minutes

Refill the reservoir with clean water

Run multiple brew cycles with clean water (until no vinegar/solution smell remains)

For machines with an external water tank, repeat rinsing until the output runs clear

Clean the brew head/spout area with a damp cloth if needed

Wipe down the exterior and reassemble any removed parts

Run one final brew cycle with plain water, then discard it

Plug the machine back in and use as normal
