How To Make Blueberry Syrup?

2 cups blueberries

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Combine blueberries and water in a saucepan

Bring to a boil over medium heat

Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes

Mash the blueberries with a spoon

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve if desired

Return the liquid to the saucepan

Add sugar and lemon juice

Stir until the sugar dissolves

Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until slightly thickened

Remove from heat

Let cool

Store in a clean jar or bottle in the refrigerator
