1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons finely chopped dill pickles or sweet pickles
1 tablespoon pickle juice or lemon juice
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion or shallot
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill
1 teaspoon capers, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Stir until well combined
Taste and adjust seasoning
Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving
