Add the rice to the rice maker pot
Add the correct amount of water
Close the lid
Select the cook setting
Start the rice maker
Wait until it switches to warm or finishes cooking
Let the rice sit for a few minutes
Fluff the rice with a fork or rice paddle
Serve the rice
