How To Make Roast Beef?

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C)

Pat the beef roast dry with paper towels

Season all sides with salt and black pepper

Rub the roast with oil

Optional: add garlic, rosemary, thyme, or mustard

Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan

Roast for 15 to 20 minutes

Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C)

Continue roasting until the desired doneness is reached

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature

Remove the roast from the oven

Tent loosely with foil

Let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes

Slice against the grain
