Find a blackjack table and place your bet in the betting circle
Wait for the dealer to deal two cards to each player and two to the dealer
Check your hand total
Ask for another card by saying “hit”
Keep hitting until you are satisfied or you bust over 21
Say “stand” to keep your current hand
Double your bet and take one final card if allowed by the table rules
Split matching cards if allowed by the table rules and play each hand separately
Surrender if allowed by the table rules and give up half your bet
Watch the dealer play after all players finish
The dealer must hit until reaching at least 17, depending on table rules
Win if your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s without going over
Lose if your hand goes over 21 or the dealer has a better hand
Push if you and the dealer have the same total
Collect your winnings if you win
