Open the group text
Tap the group name, info icon, or details button
Look for Leave this conversation or Exit group
Tap Leave this conversation
Confirm if prompted
If you do not see a leave option, mute or silence the conversation
On iPhone, make sure the group has at least three people and uses iMessage
On Android, use the Messages app options to mute or block the thread if leaving is unavailable
Ask the group admin to remove you if the app does not allow you to leave
Delete the conversation from your messages if you want it removed from your inbox
