How To Replace Tire Pressure Sensor?

Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn it off

Verify the correct replacement tire pressure sensor for your vehicle

Remove the wheel from the vehicle

Deflate the tire completely

Break the tire bead from the rim

Remove the tire from the wheel

Locate the tire pressure sensor inside the wheel

Remove the sensor retaining nut or fastener

Remove the old sensor from the valve stem area

Install the new sensor in the same position

Tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer’s specified torque

Reinstall the tire onto the wheel

Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure

Reinstall the wheel on the vehicle

Reset or relearn the TPMS system if required

Check for leaks and confirm proper sensor operation
