Endorse the back of the check exactly as your bank requires
Write the recipient’s full name on the endorsement line
Add “Pay to the order of [recipient’s full name]” if needed
Sign your name exactly as it appears on the front of the check
Give the endorsed check to the recipient
Tell the recipient to deposit or cash it according to their bank’s rules
Confirm with your bank first, since some banks do not accept third-party checks
