Select the text, file, or item you want to move
Press Command + C to copy
Press Command + X to cut if the app supports it
Click where you want to place it
Press Command + V to paste
For files in Finder, use Command + C, then Option + Command + V to move them
You can also right-click and choose Copy, Cut, or Paste where available
