Power off the PS5 completely
Unplug the PS5 from power for 30–60 seconds
Blow out dust around both analog sticks using compressed air
Gently move each stick through its full range 50–100 times
Check for controller firmware updates in Settings > Accessories > Controllers
Reset the controller by poking the small reset button on the back (use a pin) and then re-pair it
Reconnect the controller via USB cable, then test it
Use a different controller to confirm it’s not a console issue
Calibrate the controller in Settings > Accessories > Controllers > Adjust Analog Sticks
Clean the stick modules with isopropyl alcohol (90%+) applied sparingly to the stick base and around the edges while moving the stick
If stick drift persists, replace the analog stick module(s) (hardware repair)
If under warranty, request a controller repair or replacement from Sony
Contact Sony support if the issue continues after calibration and cleaning
