Check the care label for washing instructions
Close all zippers and fasteners
Empty all pockets
Pre-treat any stains with a gentle cleaner
Use a front-loading washing machine if possible
Wash with cold or lukewarm water
Use a mild, down-safe or technical gear detergent
Run a gentle or delicate cycle
Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap
Remove the sleeping bag carefully when done
Press out excess water without twisting
Dry on low heat in a large dryer if allowed by the label
Add clean tennis balls or dryer balls to help restore loft
Pause occasionally to break up clumps during drying
Air dry completely if machine drying is not recommended
Store fully dry in a loose storage sack or hung up
