Choose a fresh flower with a sturdy stem
Trim the stem to a short length

Part the hair where you want the flower placed
Slide the stem into the hair near the part
Secure the flower with a bobby pin if needed
Cross another bobby pin over the first for extra hold
Use a small clear hair elastic if the flower needs more support
Position the flower so it sits naturally in the hair
Check that it feels secure and comfortable
