Select the cells you want to change
Right-click and choose Format Cells
Go to the Number tab
Select Date
Choose the date format you want
Click OK
To change the system date format, open Control Panel or Settings
Go to Time and Language
Open Date and time or Region
Change the short date format
Restart Excel if needed
