Open the Settings app
Tap Sounds & Haptics (or Sounds)
Tap Ringtone
Select a ringtone from the list
Tap Back to save automatically
To set a ringtone for a specific contact: open the Contacts app → select the contact → tap Edit → tap Ringtone → choose a ringtone → tap Done
