Turn off the gas or let the charcoal cool completely
Disconnect the propane tank if using a gas grill
Remove the grates, heat plates, and drip tray
Scrape off loose debris with a grill brush or scraper
Soak the grates in warm, soapy water
Scrub the grates with a sponge or brush
Rinse and dry the grates thoroughly
Clean the interior of the grill with a brush or cloth
Empty and wash the drip tray
Wipe down the exterior with warm, soapy water
Rinse and dry all parts before reassembling
Lightly oil the grates before the next use
Clean the grill after every use or as needed
