Coat the slime and surrounding hair with a generous amount of conditioner, baby oil, coconut oil, or olive oil
Gently work the product through the hair with your fingers
Use a wide-tooth comb to slowly loosen the slime
Wipe away loosened slime with a paper towel or cloth
Repeat oil or conditioner application as needed
Wash the hair with warm water and shampoo
Comb through again while the hair is wet if needed
Rinse thoroughly
If slime remains, apply more conditioner or oil and repeat
Cut out only the last resort tangled section if it cannot be removed safely
