Turn off and unplug the CPAP machine
Disconnect the hose from the machine and mask
Wash your hands
Fill a clean sink or basin with warm water and mild soap
Submerge the hose in the soapy water
Swish the water through the hose
Rinse the hose thoroughly with clean warm water
Shake out excess water
Hang the hose in a clean, dry place to air-dry completely
Reconnect the hose only when it is fully dry
Clean the hose regularly according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Replace the hose if it becomes cracked, discolored, or damaged
