How To Make Stuffed Green Peppers?

Preheat the oven to 375°F

Cut the tops off the green peppers and remove the seeds and membranes

Lightly oil a baking dish

Cook rice or prepare your preferred grain if using

Brown ground beef, turkey, or other filling meat in a skillet

Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened

Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and any desired seasonings

Mix in shredded cheese if desired

Spoon the filling into the hollowed green peppers

Place the stuffed peppers upright in the baking dish

Add a little water or tomato sauce to the bottom of the dish

Cover with foil

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes

Remove the foil and top with more cheese if desired

Bake uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted

Let cool slightly before serving
