Verify the correct TPMS sensor part number for your vehicle
Gather the required tools, including tire-changing equipment and a TPMS scan tool if needed
Deflate the tire completely
Remove the wheel from the vehicle
Break the tire bead away from the rim
Dismount the tire from the wheel enough to access the valve stem area
Remove the TPMS sensor retaining nut or fastener
Remove the old TPMS sensor from the valve stem
Install the new TPMS sensor onto the valve stem
Tighten the retaining nut to the manufacturer’s specified torque
Reinstall the tire onto the wheel
Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure
Check for air leaks at the valve stem and bead
Reinstall the wheel on the vehicle
Torque the lug nuts to specification
Reset or relearn the TPMS system using the proper procedure
Verify that the TPMS warning light is off and the sensor is reading correctly
