How To Sort In Excel By Column?

Select the range of data you want to sort

Click the Data tab

Click Sort

Choose the column you want to sort by

Select the sort order: A to Z, Z to A, Smallest to Largest, or Largest to Smallest

Check My data has headers if your data includes headers

Click OK

To sort quickly, click a cell in the column and use the Sort A to Z or Sort Z to A button on the Data tab

To sort by multiple columns, click Sort and add levels for each column
