How To Check Heart Rate?

Check your pulse at the wrist (thumb side) or the side of your neck

Place two fingers on the pulse point (don’t use your thumb)

Count the beats for 30 seconds and multiply by 2, or count for 60 seconds

Record the result and note whether you were resting, sitting, or active

Use a smartwatch or fitness tracker if available

Use a blood pressure monitor with heart-rate display if available

Use a chest strap heart-rate monitor if available

Check manually and confirm with a device if results seem inconsistent

If you feel chest pain, severe shortness of breath, fainting, or a very fast/irregular heartbeat, seek urgent medical care
