How To Press Flowers?

Choose fresh, flat flowers or flower parts

Press between absorbent sheets (blotting paper, parchment paper, or paper towels)

Place flowers in a single layer without overlapping

Arrange petals so they lie flat

Add a sheet of absorbent paper on top of the flowers

Add additional absorbent paper sheets as needed

Place cardboard pieces on the top and bottom of the stack

Use a heavy book or a flower press to apply firm, even pressure

Check the stack daily or every 1–2 days

Replace damp absorbent paper with dry sheets

Continue pressing until flowers feel dry and crisp (typically 1–3 weeks)

Carefully remove pressed flowers

Store flat in a dry place, between paper sheets, until use

Seal or protect with a clear craft spray only if desired and allowed for your project
