Blot the stain immediately with a clean white cloth or paper towel
Place a paper towel under the fabric to absorb the ink
Dab the stain with rubbing alcohol using a clean cloth
Blot from the outside of the stain toward the center
Replace the paper towel underneath as it absorbs ink
Rinse the area with cold water
Apply a small amount of liquid laundry detergent to the stain
Gently rub the detergent into the fabric
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Wash the fabric according to the care label
Check the stain before drying
Repeat the process if needed before using heat
Use hand sanitizer or alcohol-based sanitizer if rubbing alcohol is unavailable
Use white vinegar as a backup option
Test any cleaning solution on a hidden area first
Avoid using hot water until the stain is gone
